A great place for a date…
The Terjit Oasis, rejuvenated in the 1970’s, was once a very popular place for visitors to catch some desert shade and take a dip in the natural fresh water pools. Natural mineral water drips from the edges of the Adrar plateau where locals collect it in buckets for drinking and washing.
Date trees cover the flowing fresh water pools, and they’re perfectly good to eat! Climb to the overhang to catch a great view of the oasis valley and the edges of the Adrar plateau.
